About Christina Sell
Christina Sell has been practicing yoga since 1991. She is a
certified Anusara Yoga instructor. Anusara Yoga is a unique method of hatha yoga which
integrates biomechanical principles of alignment with the celebration
of the heart and spirit. Developed by John Friend in 1996, Anusara Yoga
offers a dynamic synthesis of asana technique, yoga philosophy, and
good company. Christina's classes are fun, inspiring, challenging and
dedicated to helping people of all ages, sizes and abilities discover
the joys of yoga practice and conscious living. In 2001 Christina
founded Prescott
Yoga, a yoga school in Prescott, Arizona dedicated to the practice
and teaching of Anusara Yoga. In addition to a full weekly schedule of
classes, Prescott Yoga hosted seminars with senior teachers, teacher
training workshops and became a leader in the local yoga community. Now
under the directorship of Rachel Peters, Prescott Yoga continues to be
a thriving community of dedicated practitioners, and fabulous teachers.
Christina directed Prescott Yoga until June 2006, when she and her
husband relocated to San Marcos, Texas. Once in San Marcos, Christina
founded The San Marcos School of Yoga and joined the teacher training
faculty of YogaYoga in Austin,
Texas. In 2009 Christina moved to Austin, Texas where she maintains an
active teaching local and national teaching schedule.
Christina is the author of Yoga From the Inside Out- Making Peace with Your Body
Through Yoga. She studies ongoingly with John Friend and
master teachers from all traditions. Her active teaching schedule
includes local, national and international classes and workshops in
asana, teacher training and principles of dharmic living. Christina
lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, Kelly, their retired greyhound
and four cats. She and her furry family enjoy long walks, bicycle
rides, dinner parties with friends and hanging out on the river.
