Rooted in Love
A Three-Day Immersion with Christina Sell & Gioconda Parker
Ancient Yoga Center · South Austin
"Love is an action, never simply a feeling."-bell hooks
We invite you to join us for three days of practice, reflection, and community as we collectively explore what it means to deepen into the steady, courageous, and transformative power of love.
In a world that often feels fast-paced, fragmented, and uncertain, the invitation to live from the heart can seem both simple and profound. Rooted in Love is an opportunity to pause, listen deeply, and reconnect with the ground of your being—the place within that is capable of meeting life with presence, compassion, and authenticity.
Guided by Christina Sell and Gioconda Parker, this immersive experience weaves together dynamic asana, meaningful dialogue, contemplative practices, personal inquiry, and nourishing community connection. Together, we will explore love not merely as an emotion or ideal, but as a way of being in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.
Love is more than a feeling. It is a practice.
It is how we stand when circumstances are challenging. It is how we listen when understanding is difficult. It is how we speak, how we serve, how we create, and how we choose to show up for the people and causes that matter most to us. Love asks us to be present. It asks us to be brave. It invites us to participate fully in the unfolding experience of being human.
Throughout the weekend, we'll explore questions such as:
What does it mean to be rooted rather than reactive?
How can we cultivate steadiness without becoming rigid?
What practices help us remain open-hearted in the face of uncertainty and change?
How do we embody love in our daily actions, relationships, and choices?
What becomes possible when we approach ourselves and others with greater compassion and curiosity?
Through movement, conversation, contemplation, and shared experience, we'll create a supportive environment for exploration and renewal. Together, we'll cultivate practices that help us access our innate resilience, strengthen our capacity for connection, and deepen our trust in the wisdom of the heart.
Whether you are seeking inspiration, healing, clarity, or simply a chance to reconnect with what matters most, Rooted in Love offers a space to slow down, remember who you are, and discover the strength that emerges when love becomes the ground from which you live.
Join us for a weekend of meaningful practice, authentic connection, and heartfelt exploration as we learn what it means to live—and love—from the roots up.

In general, full attendance is required. The complete 3-day experience is the hallmark of an intensive and is an essential difference between the intensive format and a weekend workshop, where sessions may be taken individually. The intensive is structured progressively and sequentially with each session building on previous lessons. By attending the full workshop, participants will have the most thorough experience possible. Special arrangements can be made on an individual basis to accommodate individual circumstances.
